Despite their hard fought 3-2 win over QPR at the weekend, Liverpool fans still took to twitter to berate £16m summer signing Mario Balotelli for his lacklustre performance.

And based on these stats comparing the Italian forward to a number of other Premier League strikers they have every right to.
The former Manchester City man has had a whopping 22 shots in the Premier league so far, but has failed to find the net even once. This gives the misfiring miscreant the worst conversion rate in the entire league, according to Talk Sport.
Burnley’s Lukas Jutkiewicz and Newcastle’s Emmanuel Riviere have an equally bad conversion rate percentage wise, but with far less shots they aren’t nearly as wasteful.
Despite his below par performances so far, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is still coming to the defence of his summer acquisition; but that will only continue for so long. If the Italy international doesn’t pick up his form soon and find his scoring boots, then he may well find himself shipped straight back out at the nearest opportunity.
