The north London side have begun negotiations withe Dinamo Zagreb as they seek to secure the services of highly rated midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.
The Croatian international, who was part of his nation’s 2014 World Cup finals squad, has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium for some time and the 21 year old appears to be a player Arsene Wenger is keen to bring in when the transfer window re-opens.
It is thought that Arsenal have already lodged a £6.4m bid for Brozovic with the player’s agent, Miroslav Bianic, confirming the club’s interest.
Bianic is quoted as stating; “Croatia plays USA in November in London and during our stay there we will hold meetings and negotiate with several English teams.
“Yes, I can confirm Arsenal are one of them.”
The young midfielder could offer Arsenal a fresh dimension in the middle of the park and is clearly not a player who will break the bank and offers a great deal both by way of intelligent distribution and a threat in the final third.
