The Swans went 1-0 up thanks to a Wilfried Bony penalty but were left fuming minutes later when Victor Moses appeared to dive in the penalty area and won Stoke a spot kick, which Charlie Adam converted.
That enabled the Potters to go and win the game 2-1 thanks to a Jonathan Walters goal in the second half and Monk put the blame squarely at the feet of the officials for his side’s defeat.
“The penalty against, for me, is a disgrace. It’s a disgraceful decision. Not in a million years a penalty,” said Monk.
“The problem now is that a lot of times in a season there are match-changing decisions going against us. I don’t see anything being done about it.
“I’ve spoken to the referee about it, I’ve spoken to the association about it, and I don’t hear anything from Mike Riley coming back to me at all, which I find poor leadership.”
While heavily criticising the match officials for their display, Monk also thinks Moses should receive a punishment for diving.
“He should be punished for diving, a clear dive, which is cheating.
“He’s cheating the ref and then the ref has cheated us in terms of giving a decision that never was.”
