Koeman’s side have been in terrific form recently despite a difficult summer which saw a number of their star players poached by bigger clubs, with the Dutchman taking much of the credit for steadying the ship at the St Mary’s Stadium.
Pelle has been one of Koeman’s inspired signings, scoring five goals so far this season to establish himself as one of the buys of the summer with some fine form in adapting quickly to the English game.
The club have now been recognised for their fine start to the season with this double award, as officialy confirmed via the Barclays Football Twitter account this morning.
