The Bavarian giants are being strongly linked with a £30m move for the German international, who has struggled to impress at the Emirates Stadium since moving to the club from Real Madrid last summer.
Ozil is now out injured but could be back to full fitness in time for January, with Bayern ready to rival Manchester City for his signature, and ready to let Gotze leave the club.
The 22-year-old has not been quite at his best since moving to the Allianz Arena from Borussia Dortmund last season, and has recently hinted that he would be interested in a move abroad in the near future, sparking rumours of interest from Chelsea.
Manchester United have also been linked with Gotze in the past, and it seems likely that the skillful attacker would have a number of offers from big clubs, as he remains a top prospect as he showed with a fine strike to decide this summer’s World Cup final against Argentina.
Bayern already have plenty of other attacking midfielders to choose from in their squad, with Xherdan Shaqiri also among those who could make way, with the Swiss international wanted by Liverpool, Juventus and Atletico Madrid.
