The club are still gelling after selling Luis Suarez to Barcelona this summer, and it may be that they will look to strengthen further after summer signings such as Mario Balotelli, Adam Lallana and Lazar Markovic have failed to impress straight away.

The Spaniard is being targeted by Brendan Rodgers as an upgrade on current first choice Simon Mignolet, and looks a top signing given his availability on a free. Elsewhere, the team’s defence is likely to remain the same with no high-profile targets on the Reds’ radar at the moment.
