Gunners chief talks up enormous cash reserves.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has hinted that the club could be set for somewhat of a spending spree in the new year after the club recorded a record £173m in cash reserves.

Earlier on this month Arsenal’s financial records were made public for the past year and showed that even though they made a small turnover, they had cash reserves of over £170m in the bank.
And now Wenger has dropped a hint that he may be ready to spend some of it in January, according to ESPN’s Kevin Palmer.

By saying “It’s good to have a little cushion in case we need to buy when the right players come up,” suggests that the manager is already looking for new faces to add after struggling to bring in fresh faces for all the positions that needed filling over the summer.
