The midfielder had previously been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge since first moving to Marseille back in 2013.
However, he claims he is aware that Inter made an approach to sign him but Marseille were never prepared to let him go and he is happy to stay.
“The president had contact with Inter, but I don’t know exactly what happened,” he said.
“Things were clear for the president and me: my departure was out of the question, so honestly I haven’t studied the offer.
“It’s flattering and Inter are a big club, but I am a Marseille player and they are a big club too. Here I feel really good.”
Thauvin is a controversial figure in his homeland after going on strike at former club Lille in order to join Marseille, but he has quickly become a favourite in southern France after a number of impressive performances.
He will now stay at the south coast club to help coach Marcelo Biesla challenge PSG for the Ligue 1 title.
