After looking so dominant against QPR last weekend, few people were expecting anything but a win from Manchester United against Leicester today; a loss seeming even more unlikely after Louis van Gaal’s side raced into a 2-0 lead.
A defeat is what Manchester United got however, Leicester completing a stunning 5-3 comeback to grab all three points. Here are five things we learnt from today’s game, as reported by the Mirror:
5) Leicester love the underdog tag.
With such a difficult set of opening fixtures, Leicester City were labelled likely relegation candidates right from the off.
But Nigel Pearson’s side have revelled in being underestimated, going behind in a number of their games so far before coming back with style; against some top teams too.
2-0 down before making it 2-2 against Everton, 1-1 against Arsenal, and now most most impressively 5-3 against Manchester United.
