Needed at Anfield?
Liverpool summer signing Divock Origi scored his second Ligue 1 goal of the season on Sunday as Lille continued their unbeaten start to the domestic campaign with a 2-0 win over Nantes.
The 19-year-old Belgium international signed for the Reds in July for a transfer fee of £10m, before swiftly rejoining Lille on a season-long loan.
Origi is certainly physically strong enough to compete in the Premier League, but is he ready for England’s top flight? And did Liverpool make a mistake by allowing him to leave on loan straight away?
After all, in the absence of Daniel Sturridge, Liverpool looked rather toothless during Saturday’s 1-0 home defeat to Aston Villa.
The Reds had 74 per cent of the possession at Anfield, but they only registered one shot on target in the whole game.
Watch Origi’s goal for Lille below. He provided an assist for the game’s other goal.
