In an article titled “Raheem’s rise”, the tabloid published the words: “NOT many Three Lions stars grew up in a gun-filled Jamaican slum.”
Sterling, 19, was clearly offended by the way that the newspaper described the Caribbean island.
He took to Twitter to vent.
“Raheem Sterling: from gun-filled Jamaican slum to Anfield hero.”#onlyOneNewsPaper would come up with a story like this. Jamaica=paradise
