Rodgers still looking at Falcao.

Liverpool are still keen on bringing Colombian striker Radamel Falcao to the club from Ligue 1 runners-up AS Monaco, report the Mail, despite the fact that the player’s preference is still a move to join European champions Real Madrid.
Falcao has emerged as a shock target for Brendan Rodgers in recent weeks, as he looks to replace top scorer Luis Suarez, who has joined Barcelona, with a similarly world class performer.
However, the Reds now appear to be facing even more competition than Carlo Ancelotti’s men for the signature of the former Atletico Madrid star, with the report suggesting that Premier League champions Manchester City have also made an enquiry for Falcao – although it is hard to see how City could complete a deal for the player without contravening UEFA’s financial fair play regulations.
Ancelotti, meanwhile, has suggested that Real Madrid’s summer spending is over after the captures of Toni Kroos, Keylor Navas and Falcao’s former teammate, James Rodriguez, but the report suggests that they would be interested in taking Falcao on a loan deal with a view to a permanent move, with financial fair play regulations again in mind in the Spanish capital.
Monaco are not keen on this, however, which could open the door for either Liverpool or Manchester City to pounce as the transfer window winds towards its closure at the end of the month.
