Recently appointed Tottenham Hotspur head coach Tim Sherwood is set to embark on a major overhaul of the first-team squad at White Hart Lane in the January transfer window after calling into question some of his player’s attitude and professionalism, according to reports in the Sun on Sunday.

The former Tottenham midfielder has been in charge of the north London club since former boss Andre Villas-Boas was given his marching orders last month following a 5-0 home loss to rivals Liverpool in the Premier League.
Initially Sherwood was only handed the managerial reins on a temporary basis, however, the 44-year-old was then given an 18-month contract after greatly impressing chairman Daniel Levy in the role.
However, already the ex-England international has accused some of the club’s star performers of being lazy and unprofessional as Sherwood prepares to offload a number of his under-performing squad players in this month’s transfer window.
And one of those under the spotlight is believed to be holding midfielder Etienne Capoue, with Sherwood understood to happy to let the France international leave the capital in January, despite the fact the 25-year-old only joined Spurs from Ligue 1 outfit Toulouse for £9.3m last August.
