Big spending Ligue 1 side AS Monaco have reportedly agreed a £52m deal to sign Zenit St Petersburg forward Hulk according to the Metro.
The 26 year old has been strongly linked with interest from London sides Chelsea and Tottenham but has seemingly opted to make the move to the Stade Louis II.
Claudio Ranieri has already spent vast sums on a number of new signings with chairman Dmitry Rybolovlev spending upwards of £110m to bring in Radamel Falcao from Atletico Madrid as well as FC Porto pair James Rodriguez and Joao Moutinho.
Hulk has managed just 11 goals in 30 appearances in his first season in Russia, during which his Zenit side lost their grip in the domestic crown they had held the previous two campaigns.
Prior to his move to the Petrovsky Stadium Hulk had proven a big success in Portugal, scoring 54 goals in 99 Primeira Liga fixtures and 78 goals in total for FC Porto.
AS Monaco may well feel the need to continue their summer spending spree having seen PSG spent £55m to bring in Napoli ace Edinson Cavani.
